About Horse Van Coir Mats
How to choose a trailer mat:
- Measure the walking path. Measure the length and width of the floor where your horse stands, and of the ramp or doorway you load through.
- Ramps and stall doorways: 36 x 48 in, 36 x 60 in or 36 x 72 in.
- Wider ramps and single stalls: 48 x 72 in.
- Full van or straight-load floors: 36 x 120 in, 42 x 120 in or 48 x 120 in. The larger floor sizes weigh 48 to 68 lb, so the mat lies where you set it.
- Care. Coir holds water. After a wet haul, hose it off if it needs it, then hang it or stand it on edge to dry fully before it goes back in the trailer.
